This is to advise the contractors will be sealing the Division Street sidewalks on Friday May 11th, and center roadway on Saturday May 12th , 2012.
This final element of the project is critical to the life and appearance of the street, plus helping to keep it clean for all who use it. The street will be pressure washed Thursday May 10th, in preparation for the sealing.
Starting at 5:00 AM Friday the sidewalk section of the street will be closed to ALL pedestrian traffic leaving the center section open, on Saturday at 5:00 AM, the center section will be closed to ALL pedestrian traffic; we believe this will prove to be the least disruptive to all.
The total sealing process each day should be complete and ready for foot traffic approximately 2:00PM.
It is important to understand no one should walk on these surfaces until they are dry. We ask you be aware of the following; if walked on, the sealant will be damaged; it will show footprints, and leave a sticky residue on footwear.
We ask you to make alternative plans to enter or exit your building should that be possible, during this process.
